3 Types of Residence Permits in Finland:
Oleskelulupa is a permit to stay in Finland, the Residence Permit. There are three types of it:
Temporary Residence Permit – (Oleskelulupa “В”)
It is granted for education or work for one year. It can be extended or changed into another type, if circumstances change.
Permanent Residence Permit – (Oleskelulupa “А”)
It is valid during the validity period of the reason/base to obtain this type of permit. The first residence permit category A is issued for 1 year, the extension is implied from 1 year to 4. Then (in 4 years) you can get permanent residence or citizenship.
Permanent Residence — (Oleskelulupa “Р”)
It can be granted only if one has been residing in Finland for more than 4 years with the Residence Permit – Oleskelulupa “А” , without interruptions in getting the permits.

— Family relationship (marriage with a citizen or resident of Finland, family reunification)

— Education; scientific research; Au Paire; professional sports.
